Bikal is situated in southern Hungary, at the foothill of Mecsek Mountains, 185 km far from Budapest. It is an ancient village, which was mentioned first in history in 1325. The castle was built by the Puchner Family in neo-classical style in the 1840’s. The buliding – surrounded by an enormous park with a lake and ancient trees - was added to the Architectural Heritage List in 1979. The 3 floors of the hotel represent 3 different styles of rooms: aristocratic blue, lively spring green and English with small flowers. In the French-style Spa House we can find 5 modern rooms (including one apartment).
